Farmer Green Jeans

We have an apple tree in our back yard. Yep. A real apple tree. There are some fruit trees up here, orchards even, but not many. Some people work at it and are quite successful.

On the other hand there are those that do practically nothing to encourage their fruit trees. I am one of those. We have been seen apples from time though. Last year we didn't see ANY apples. We saw only a few apples the year before but then from time to time we get a bunch. Like this year.

I think the number of bees from year to year make a difference. And I'm sure that if I knew something about growing apples, how and when to prune, fertilize and whatever else we'd have a bumper crop every year.

They might even grow bigger, I haven't a clue.

Julie's make some apple cobbler fillings and freeze them for use this coming year. They are really tasty!

Pretty artistic, eh?

There's our little tree in amongst the green of birches and shrubs.
(I doctored the photo a little so that it would stand out some.)

The bounty.
